Vice President, Senior Commercial Loan Officer - Team Leader
The Senior Commercial Loan Officer will support department initiatives through an innovative and energetic approach to developing client relationships and new business development. This position serves as a trusted advisor in meeting the business needs of clients and assumes a lead role in providing support and guidance to the Commercial Lending team. The successful candidate will have proven success in commercial lending along with a business development background primarily in a banking environment. Commercial Real Estate experience preferred.

POSITION SUMMARY
Develops new business and services existing clients for commercial lending, deposit, and cash management needs. Serves as trusted advisor in meeting the business needs of clients. Assumes a lead role in providing support and guidance to Commercial Lending team.
OVERALL RESPONSIBILITIES
• Provides guidance to Commercial Lending team and answers questions as needed to assist with customer relationship management and administrative functions.
• Coaches and develops commercial lending team to optimal performance.
• Provide senior level review and analysis of more complex loans.
• Provides assistance to Loan Officers on credit matters, loan structure, and relationship management that may involve unique situations or require close scrutiny.
• Upholds the excellent customer experience by being responsive to inquiries, requests, and solutions.
• Develops new business relationships and expands existing relationships to grow the loan portfolio in support of Bank's strategic goals.
• Routinely calls on prospective and existing customers to build and foster customer relationships.
• Meets with potential business clients to ascertain overall financial condition and creditworthiness.
• Facilitates negotiation of loan structure with applicant, including fees, loan repayment options, and other credit terms.
• Coordinates timely loan closing and funding activities.
• Monitors current loans to ensure compliance with terms and reviews all past-due accounts regularly.
• Promotes and cross-sells other banking products and services as appropriate to meet customer needs
• Performs other tasks as requested.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Minimum of 7-10 years lending experience
